Farm Service Technician

We are currently seeking a Farm Service Technician. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge along with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The Farm Service Technician will be responsible for inspecting and repairing farm equipment and reporting progress to the Service Manager.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred experience as a Farm Service Technician with Massey Ferguson and other farm equipment
Must have a valid Ontario driver's license with a clean abstract and the ability to maintain a valid passport
Must be physically able to lift 50lbs and able to bend, squat, crouch, reach as job requires
Knowledge and use of power, machine and hand tools
Ability to effectively communicate farm machinery issues clearly
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail

Responsibilities
Perform work specified on the repair order efficiently and in accordance with dealership procedures
Test equipment, components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
Diagnose, maintain and repair farm equipment including gasoline and diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
Assemble new farm equipment, inspect farm machinery; including balers, planters and hydraulics
Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs
Communicate directly with the Service Manager so customers can be informed if any additional services and/or repairs are needed
Respect fellow co-workers, customers and shop equipment
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Comply with the health and safety policies in the workplace
Other duties as required
